We all have that one place we look forward to shopping at for the holidays. It could be a mall, a specific store, or a certain part of town. All we know is that when we go to that place, it makes us happy.
Hands down, without a doubt, Chicago’s Magnificent Mile is my favorite place to shop for the holidays. Ever since I left Chicago four years ago, I’ve had no luck finding another place that even comes close.

I don’t remember if I ever actually bought Christmas gifts for anyone there. It was more about going for the experience, and it probably didn’t hurt that I had a girlfriend at the time. There was just something magical about the combination of the snow, the lights, and the freezing cold (hallucinations from being so cold?) that made everything feel all right even after cramming for finals.

I’ve always really liked shopping at local craft fairs – the huge ones they have at community centers and churches.
You can see some really neat things there.
My three favorite places to shop are Banana Republic, Borders, and Best Buy. The killer B’s. Of course this is usually for me, but can be for everyone. Has all my needs.
The internet by far is my favorite place to shop. Ebay as well, but if we are going with stores that I actually physically walk into they are Express, the Zara store in Philly (I like the Euro look sometimes), and GAP. Craig is right with Banana b/c they have a ton of sales this time of the year. Outside of Philly there are these new outlets that I have to check out as well. Nothing beats the Internet though!
The mall all the way! i like the atmosphere of it all…sometimes i even pretend i got dropped off by my dad like back in middle school and i act like a teenager
well, okay maybe not that last part…but it’s def. fun.
Favorite place to shop? Got to go with the internet — Amazon.com, in particular, probably. You just can’t beat the deals that the internet offers, and its far less stressful.
Favorite shopping “experience” though? I have to agree — Chicago! The city is amazing during the holidays. The windows at Marhsall Field’s (err.. Macy’s…) were always my favorite part.
