I spent one spring break in the remote high hills of Argentina painting their medical center and tutoring teachers, locals and students in english (the village was home to 850 or so individuals) and another spring break plane hopping around Brazil with a class studying "culture" for 10 days . Senior year I went to Cancun with my bf at the time. Although we didn't have a lot to spend, I still wanted to explore and do fun activities..He just wanted to sit by the pool and read...Lamest vacation ever. I think fun trips south are meant for larger groups, and no books allowed! :) My funnest trip was before my senior year, a few friends that I went to high school with decided to drive to WA from MN and back. At night, we camped and searched for alcohol (we weren't old enough, and oddly enough, all of our trips have had that comment in them :)) During the day, we drove and had a blast!
