I don't know how I missed this article but I could definitely add some input. Cancun in 2006, Dominican in 2007, missed 2008, Puerto Plata in 2009. Craziest thing? A week with a bunch of young college students and unlimited booze is crazy enough.

I never went to any of the "traditional" spring break spots... I spent one spring break in the remote high hills of Argentina painting their medical center and tutoring teachers, locals and students in english (the village was home to 850 or so individuals) and another spring break plane hopping around Brazil with a class studying "culture" for 10 days .

Last Spring Break I flew down to Costa Rica with 15 friends of mine to work in a soup kitchen. It was hard work but I loved every second of it.

I've competed in speech and debate tournaments over Spring Break. That's about the most interesting Spring Break I've had; not so much crazy as mildly interesting...

Most of my spring breaks were also spent at home. Senior year I went to Cancun with my bf at the time. Although we didn't have a lot to spend, I still wanted to explore and do fun activities..He just wanted to sit by the pool and read...Lamest vacation ever. I think fun trips south are meant for larger groups, and no books allowed! :)

My funnest trip was before my senior year, a few friends that I went to high school with decided to drive to WA from MN and back. At night, we camped and searched for alcohol (we weren't old enough, and oddly enough, all of our trips have had that comment in them :)) During the day, we drove and had a blast!
