Thanks for the suggestions so far. Keep 'em coming, because this is really helpful. You guys have brought up some great topics and also some very difficult ones, which may explain why there isn't much information about them out there. I'll definitely try tackling some of these topics over the next month.

Doctor S has some great points, but I would like to expand on the idea of "how to pay for college." To be honest, I need some solid advice on "what to do now that you decided to take out the loans for a private college?" (price tag- approximately $80,000) I realize now that this is the stupidest fiscal decision I've ever made (especially since I'm paying it all back myself), but now that I'm 2/3 through school there's no backing out now. I want to develop a payment plan through which I can still sustain myself and not move back in with my parents when I graduate next December, and advice on how to save while also paying off that much debt would be so helpful. There are great articles on your blog and others in the PF blogging world for high school graduates and college graduates, but it would be great to see more articles aimed at those of us still in school.

I like the persons idea on Roth IRA, or a comparison between the different retirement fund options.

Also, I am big into traveling so post related to backpacking and maybe where you can get the best bang for you buck plus experience would be.

I think one thing many current college students want to learn more about is funding options for their education. With tuition prices rising each year, new sources for funding need to be tapped into by college students. This is huge with me because I really messed up with my funding when I did my undergrad from 2001-2006. I did not know any better and did no have much guidance and took out private loans to fund the majority of it. Many kids today get scholarships and grants but there are tons out there who have to figure out their entire college financial obligation themselves, FAFSA only helps so much. My main motive behind this is I just do not want people to have to experience what I did, its one main reason I played a huge role with my younger brother who just began his freshman year. He is attending school on no obligation to my parents and all of it is paid for through a ton of different sources. My two cents, sorry about the novel!
