Last week, I asked you to share your favorite places to shop for the holidays. The answers included everything from local craft fairs to Banana Republic to the Internet.
Personally, I still enjoy going to stores around this time of year for the atmosphere, but I rarely buy anything. When it comes to purchasing the actual gifts, I’ve found that the easiest way is to do it all right here. Literally.

With sites that offer no tax (for most states) and free shipping, you can find most of your gifts for less by ordering them on sites like Amazon.com. Best of all, you don’t even have to get dressed.
Ordering gifts online is perfect for college students, or anyone else, who may be a long way from home. You can just have everything you order shipped directly home instead of having to cram it all into your luggage. It’s definitely what I’m doing this year.

I agree. Shop for the fun and camaraderie, but buy online. You can almost always get better pricing on the same things and, like you said, YOU don’t have to lug it around. Plus, you can get it gift wrapped! ( I hate wrapping gifts …)
I love online shopping, it has become a bad obsession b/c the process is simple. “Point, click, ship” as they used to say on the commercials!
I have been ordering more online to get the benefits you mention. I have not bought clothes online though other than a simple t-shirt. I still want to go to a store and try something on, not just buy an outfit online.
Great tips, i am a fan of gift visas, then they can get what they didn’t get for christmas!
