For those of you who may not know, I enjoy debunking myths. Whenever I hear something that sounds suspicious, I’m usually the first person researching it. Recently, I helped a friend avoid a fake check scam after he posted a used item for sale online. The potential buyer sent a fake check for more than the price of the item and told my friend that his secretary had made a mistake. The buyer asked my friend to deposit the check and wire the difference back to him. If my friend had fallen for the scam, he would have lost around $1000.
If you’ve made it to this page, you’re probably here to find out if CashCrate is a scam. When something sounds too good to be true, most of the time it is. Well, the purpose of this post is to expose the truth about CashCrate and resolve any questions or doubts that you may have. Let’s start with the big question.
Is CashCrate a Scam?
The simple answer is no. CashCrate is not a scam. No matter what you’ve read elsewhere, I assure you that CashCrate is 100% legit. Over the course of a few months, I’ve made almost $100 through CashCrate. Below is a picture of the first check I received back in December.

Will I make a lot of money?
Probably not. Even though it’s easy to make money through CashCrate, I think most people would prefer earning money through other means. Why? Because filling out surveys and completing trial offers can get pretty boring. The reason you see so many positive reviews of CashCrate is because they have a generous referral program. Some people probably earn a decent amount of money from CashCrate through referrals, but they have to put in a lot of hard work in advertising their referral link. It’s basically like a second job.
Should I try CashCrate?
If you’re just looking to make a little extra cash with a minimal amount of effort, then CashCrate is for you. If you’re trying to build a sustainable source of income, then look elsewhere. CashCrate isn’t going to make you rich. If you’re still interested in CashCrate after reading all of this, then check out a couple of helpful pages that I’ve written about CashCrate.

I use cash crate and earn money. It is Not a scam I confirm as well. I tried a few others but never stuck with it to reach cash out, so I can’t say. I read a book I unlocked free for doing one survey at zipbux.org which they said will do away with ad clicking, and it did. I was using PTC as well as GPT and buying referral packs on PTC, but it goes nowhere and some don’t pay.
But this book showed me how to get paid for my pics, files, whatever I want really, so for now I’m happy with a cash out now and then with cash crate and mostly spend the time with the steps in zipbux because it makes me more money in my paypal. Thanks Kat, will think about trying fusion cash
I joined CashCrate a couple of days back and i havnt received any survey yet. One thing i dont like about cash crate is they dont pay thru paypal.
All the best with the repayment of student loan, u ll make it ………….. i hoping to start my own to fund my post grad.
I have read a few blogs and went back to the site again, I signed up a while ago, but all of the surveys are not surveys, they are those fake pop ads that get you no where. There is just one after another after another. I also signed up with Media Mogul which is a scam onto itself. I am sorry, but I would like to believe it, but I do not see how anyone can get through those all those ads. I am actually quite frustrated and annoyed by their site.
It’s a 80% scam. The reason is they don’t pay you. I have used it a long time ago. All my funds are on pending Status till now.
I’ve been paid very regularly by cashcrate, about $80 a month, with very little real work. I spend maybe 4 hours total a month filling out surveys and i have 2 or 3 referrals that are semi-active enough for Cashcrate to give me the referral bonus. It’s legit and have never had any problems with being scammed or spammed since i don’t use real info (duh!)
you don’t have to fill out every offer you see, just fill out enough to complete cashcrates requirements.
CASHCRATE SCAMMED ME
I did several surveys for them and out of $55.00 due to me, they only posted $3.50. They say they will pay you when $10.00 is posted but the FINE PRINT says $20.00
When i asked them why i wasnt getting credit, they SUSPENDED my account
SCAM SCAM SCAM !!!
SCAM. I have had $84.72 pending for 3 years now.
this cash crate is a scam!!! and im gona warn everyone about it .. they get you to do all these offers and then remove yah form the site ..they want you to do the work but not pay yah what you worked for and took toime to do for them .. they will lie their tetth out .. dont trust in any oppinion junk like this . my hub is a minister even and he was warning me about it .. oh but why oh why did i flal for it . and also this stuff bogging your comp down with unwanted emails everyday and boggling your computer down is rediculous..
id say need part time income its called getting us of our behinds and looking for real payed work not relying on stuff like this .. yull only be lied to and treated as if your the problem!!! then they remove yah . SCAM SCAM SCAM IS CRATES FOR CASH !!! they say i had pay out of 10.55 then i had like 20 dolllars pending.if you ask question they remove you from the site!!
Cashcrate is not a scam. I have been paid regularly by them for about a year. I stay away from the trial offers and only do the free ones. It’s an easy way to make some extra money.
Thanks for including this in your blog– from one broke grad student to another, CashCrate is great, and it IS possible to make a reasonable of money on there! The best way to make money on Cashcrate is by doing the trial offers, which pay around $15-$50 each. If you want to learn some great practical tips to help you out with these, check out my blog.
kyle how do you get paid if you dont use your real info?
I am leaning towards believing cashcrate is a scam. Much like all the other sites I have signed up for, the surveys are never what they seem. What is supposed to be a soft soap survey goes into a multitude of directions where I give my information to insurance companies, online schools etc. And while I am told I pay nothing, I can not complete the survey without “accepting” 2 additional offers. Such as free mineral make-up -w/shipping 1.95 or a blockbuster video online membership for 4.95. So I will spend nearly 7 dollars to make 40 cents???
A year ago I signed up for another site which sent me down all the same roads. I had to sign up for a netflix account. Netflix charged me their monthly fee seven times in one day. I had to make multiple calls to them to get my money back and close out my account. This was all to make 10 dollars. Of course my efforts sat in pending indefinately and my e-mails were never answered.
I would just like one cashcrate devotee to explain to me how they make money without spending money. I have never completed anything that did not end in the acceptance of at least 2 “free” offers which “only” require me to pay shipping.
U idiot mother fuckers that say its a scam u guys r dumb as fuk. Been makin bout 120 a month for 7 months straight.
I have no idea what is real or not. I may give cashcrate a try.
I will keep I mind what I have heard about only taking on the
free offers.
Thank you for your time!

Cashcrate is not a scam. People who have had problems did NOT do the offers correctly. I am averaging about $200 a month. You have to know what you are doing on there are actually pay attention.
Cash Crate is certainly not a scam. It’s good that you’ve made this, I’m tired of seeing posts about it being a scam.
For those who say this is a scam because they don’t pay and your earnings are still at pending Status, you guys are really stupid. Read tutorials, look at the forum, go to Youtube. You guys aren’t doing the surveys properly. There IS a way to do those surveys. They really do pay.
For those who are having success on cashcrate, how many levels do you need to go through to finish a survey. I just started and I’ve completed what I consider to be the survey, but if the cashcrate description doesn’t say I have to complete a certain number of offers, I don’t. Are the pages of offers part of the survey process? Example, Do I prefer McDonalds or BK? Cashcrate says complete the survey, so I answer that one question survey. To win the gift card advertised on the survey site, I would have to fill out additional offers after I submit my answer, but I don’t care about that. So if I close that window and return to cashcrate, have I completed the survey, or are offers suppose to be part of the survey?
CashCrate is sort of on the fence really. Yes, they pay money, but:
1. They reserve the right to cancel on you at anytime
2. If the companies whose offers you completed don’t pay CashCrate, they will withhold from you.
3. Almost all offers require you to sign up for trial services that start charging monthly rates. You can’t cancel immediately or you won’t get paid. You must go through the trial period and then cancel. Some companies will make it difficult to or refuse to cancel your offer in time.
do you get alot of stuff sent to your home address, like unwanted junk mail?
I Love Cash Crate they paid me over $456.87 Now maybye you should try the ones that you have to buy it works for me…..
I have $84 pending and 17 approved, I know the one surveys that are quiz’s are the ones that approve faster, I haven’t recieved any checks because it hasn’t reached the $20. I’m still working on it. If you read the Frequently asked questions it explains how to avoid filling out a lot of those promotions, and just answer the survey’s. Hope this helps me as well as you.
CashCrate is a scam! They are giving its members viruses, spyware and trojans which are all VERY harmful to computers! They bribe their members with pocket change for viruses, DO NOT USE SITE! Adminstrators on forums are VERY rude and I was not paid for over $200 I made!!!! CASH CRATE IS A SCAM!
CashCrate pisses me off. I put roboform in my blog and they banned me because they saw it. I have seen dozens of cashcrate blogs with that in it. It makes no sense.
cash crate is a scam do not use it. you will only get junk mails and phone calls.
cashcrate’s not a scam, i made $30 in the first 2 days but i started to run out of offers so i didn’t make that much at the end of the month, but still it’s a good way to make some extra cash in your spare time- i just used an old address and old phone number for the offers i filled out
The difference because cashcrate and other scamming sites is that you can look and tell other sites whether it’s fake or not. With cashcrate it’s very hard to tell. I used it a long time ago almost 11 months from now and haven’t got my payments yet. So, you guys figure it out. It’s free but you guys will wind up getting new credit cards and paying for unnecessary stuffs that you don’t want to. Apart from that your email will get a lot of unnecessary spams. All those people who wrote that cashcrate works actually are the owners of cashcrate.
Holy f*cking jesus, I don’t have a clue whether or not to use this website.
I mean I’m saving up for the Samsung i8910 HD phone, and if I made enough money to buy that, I would then stop.
But I don’t know if this is a scam or not.
Fuuuccckkkkk!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cashcrate is a scam. They share your privacy information to third party vendors.
Thanks for this awesome post.
I have seen alot of discussions scattered all over the net, but was not sure if I should spent my precious time and effort promoting something that won’t yield any benefits.
But having read your post, I think I should give them a try.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts
CashCrate is an excellent way to earn extra money online! Thanks for the post.
Cheers
John
this is worrying me, i have almost $60 pending after signing up this week and i hope that whenever i reach the $20 pay out that i will receive my check the month after that when they process it. i really want this money because i need to rent cable, wireless internet and rent a laptop with this money. have any of you used different emails? i hear you have to do that because each parent company you can only use that email once and then have to do a different one. also, you are supposed to empty your cookies every two or three offer/surveys because that can all get memorized. i got this advice from the forum there.
I would like to receive updates on the comments
I love cashcrate! Its so easy to start making money online with GPT sites. you complete product offers and surveys and they pay you for it. You will get a check in the mail every month that can be cashed or deposited with no problem. They now have a new feature which is direct deposit. Now you can check your bank statement every month and see the money deposited. Super Sweet!
p.s. GREAT BLOG! Some of the most beneficial and useful information i have ever found online about cashcrate!!!
cashcrate does work. you idiots probably didnt DO the offer CORRECTLY i recieved my check for $1,725.19 yesterday and you probably DIDNT enter your address correctly. your problem not mine, i got paid lol. nice post btw at least you TELL THE TRUTH.
Cashcrate is perfectly legit…have you tried getpaidto or gtm? they pay out pretty strong
fuckin hell it is a scam u retards im in wellington nz and i havent got my money yet bloody cashcrate
Yeah it’s real NO SCAM i did not believe it but then i got a check after a month of 70$ HELLZ YEAH!!!!!!!!!!!
Cash Crate is fine, but Dollar Hauler pays a lot more.
It’s a scam. My friend joined & only got paid for about one out of four surveys he did & they’re not surveys just pages of ads. For the real survey they pay like 80 cents where Opinion Outpost & other real survey places pay $2-3 for the same survey. You have to make a whole bunch of email addresses to fake out the advertisers that’s scammy enough then he got a virus from one of those downloads they have & it turned out lots of people got viruses & they don’t remove the offer. It’s worse than a scam, you can mess up your computer. I have no reason to lie but look how people that say it’s good have their links here, they just want to make money off you cause they’re scared to do the offer things too! See their BBB complaints too if you want a link- http://www.bbb.org/idahofalls/business-reviews/market-surveyors/cashcrate-in-idaho-falls-id-90007060
according to these comments, cash crate seems to be a scam. I’m not going to attempt to sign up. But, I heard about a website called BigSpot.com through a tv ad. Hoping it was more legit because of being a paid tv ad, I tried it out. It led me to OpinionOutpost and Lightspeed Panel. I’ve been doing Lightspeed Panel surveys for about a month. At first I only got “sweepstake” entry points, but I finally got some real point surveys. I only had to do 3 surveys to get the required number of points to redeem for $5 to my paypal account. Just did that tonight, they sent a confirmation email and said they would send the certificate code by email within 3-5 days. But I think it’s probably legit.
to the people that say they don’t pay you and say they just put it in your pending status’, you guys are dumb and aren’t doing the offers or surveys right !
With any survey site your experience can be disapointing if you have unrealistic expectations. Most ill not pay hundreds of dollars for a short survey, but Cash Crate does pay and is a legitamite site.
Cash Crate owed me $26 for about 40 different offers I completed and never paid me. The money just vanished from my account with no explanation and no reply to my E-mails which I kept polite. I hope really hope someone takes legal action against them soon so they will quit stealing people’s time. Obviously only people that really need some cash would do this sort of thing and obviously they are blatant thieves.

Simple answer, VERY UNRELIABLE
I have worked out that only 1 in 10 users actually get paid the correct amounts. If you feel lucky, take the risk if not DO NOT be surprised if you do not receive any payments.
Thank you, Dr James
Actually… I have not had any problems with them.
Your check says it is from Kingside Media. Why doesn’t it say it’s from Cash Crate? Sounds like a legitimate way to make some pocket cash. Thanks for the post.
I recently made 27 bucks.
It’s not much but I guess it’s better than nothing
