Book Giveaway: Paying For College Without Going Broke 2009 Edition

by Broke Grad on February 15, 2009

I’m excited to announce another giveaway here at Broke Grad Student. I recently reviewed The Princeton Review’s Paying For College Without Going Broke 2009 Edition. It’s filled with tons of helpful information that demystifies the college financial aid process and how it works.

Paying For College Without Going Broke is definitely worth buying if you’re a parent with kids about to start or currently attending college. The knowledge you gain from reading the book can help you and your children save hundreds or thousands of dollars over the course of their college careers.

Now for some good news. I have 6 copies of Paying For College Without Going Broke 2009 to giveaway to my readers, so if you’d like a chance to win a free copy of this book, keep reading.

How To Enter

To enter the giveaway, simply leave a comment below. Please use a valid email address, since I have to be able to contact you if you win. This giveaway is open to U.S. residents only.

How To Win

Winners will be selected at random (unless I only receive 6 entries) using a random number generator. I will be doing one drawing per week over the next three weeks and selecting two winners each time. The drawings will occur on:

  • Monday, February 23 — Congrats to #16 Kelli and #38 Susan!
  • Monday, March 2 — Congrats to #50 Eileen and #58 Jessie!
  • Monday, March 9

Entries must be received by 11:59 PST on the Sunday before the drawing date to be eligible. If you don’t win, your entry will rollover into the next drawing. This means the sooner you enter, the better your chances of winning. Good luck!

I JUST got done with an interview from a Cornell University alumnus! At the end of the interview he told me, “It’s not a matter about IF you’re going to get in Joe, its a matter about WHEN. I don’t have a doubt in my mind that you’re gonna get in.”

And since Cornell costs $50k a year, I really need that book!!!!!

25 Shellie Seering February 16, 2009 at 6:10 pm

29 Zane February 16, 2009 at 8:42 pm

My dad is having a rough time with his business. Each day is another disappointment for him. I really want him to start knowing more about fin aid so that when the time comes, money won’t be as great of an issue.

While I don’t have any kids of my own, I’m a voluteer high school youth leader at my church and often talk with the kids and their parents about college, how to pay for it, etc. This sounds like a great book to not only read but also probably recommend and loan out to people. Thanks for the chance to win!

38 Susan February 19, 2009 at 6:11 am

46 Maysoon February 19, 2009 at 9:38 pm

I am a mom of two wonderful children, but sadly our finances aren’t. Hopefully this book will help me plan for their future!

47 Aishwarya prashanth February 22, 2009 at 7:22 am

My dad needs to plan for my sister’s college education. Being international students, we have more disadvantages than US citizens as far as student loans and aid are concerned. this book would definitely help us plan for my sister. My dad and I are already US$ 100,000 in debt and I am still in junior year

48 Kathryn February 22, 2009 at 1:27 pm

Is there a way to pay for college without going broke? I’d sure like to know how. Thanks for the giveaway.

49 Kathy February 23, 2009 at 1:10 pm

My son is attending a private university out of state and this could truly help! We applied for some scholarships but read that the competition was more stiff this year.

50 Eileen February 24, 2009 at 5:09 am

Pick me, Karma!
