Hurricane Ike left a lasting impression on southeast Texas over the weekend. Most of the region is still without power, and it’s still unknown as to how long it will take to restore it. Best wishes to anyone who was affected by Ike, although you probably won’t be able to read this for at least a few days.

My parents live in that region and have been without power for a couple days. Thankfully, they are safe, but they haven’t been able to drive home yet to check on their house.
