Often these facilities will offer the first month for free for $1. So if the new home you are moving into isn't quite ready yet, and you need to be out of your current home soon. So pack everything up, and put it in a self storage unit for a few weeks, and give yourself a well earned vacation. When you get back from vacation pull all your stuff out of that storage unit, make sure not to hang out to it our keep anything there any longer, as you will be simply wasting your money.
